LANDSCAPED ENVIRONMENT
In a landscaped urban environment, on a sloping, rectangular plot of an area of 485.73 m2, with two of its sides bordering streets, a two-storey house with a swimming pool was designed and constructed with a total covered area of 288.09 m2.
The property consists of rectangular prisms which are articulated roughly in a “Γ” shape and create an internal outdoor core. The latter marks its boundaries with thick bushes and a system of walls that forms part of the overall volume, achieving thus the separation of the building from the public space.
A key element of this composition is the central axis of internal movement. It is clearly visible and divides the house into two sections:

The first section includes the public spaces, the living room and the dining room on the ground floor, which are directly accessible, while the bedrooms are arranged on the upper floor.

The second section, which is touching the partition wall, includes the daily living and relaxation areas, kitchen, living room, swimming pool and guest room.
The storage and electromechanical areas are arranged in the basement.
The design and configuration of spaces is characterized by the alternation of materials, such as black tiles, wooden flooring, the water element of the swimming pool, which are integrated and fully harmonized with the overall white volume.
